VIEGA Smartpress Multilayer Composite Pipe 16 x 2.0 mm, Bare, 100 m Roll, Art. 607210

Viega Smartpress multilayer pipe 16×2.0 mm (model 4705, Art. 607210) is the plain, uninsulated version of the 16 mm Smartpress pipe and comes on a 100 m coil. It is intended for drinking-water and heating installations assembled with Viega Smartpress press connectors.

The wall is made up of three layers: a PE-Xc inner layer, an aluminium layer and a PE-Xc outer layer. Viega describes the pipe as dimensionally stable and states that it has an oxygen barrier layer. The 16 mm pipe can be bent by hand with a bending radius of 5 x d; do not use metal internal bending springs, as they can damage the pipe surface. Instead, Viega recommends its plastic internal bending tool (model 5331.2).

Viega allows Smartpress press connectors only with its own Smartpress, Pexfit Pro and Pexfit Fosta pipes; 16 mm connectors and press tools are not included. Where part of the run needs factory insulation, use the 16 mm Smartpress pipe with red insulation, which takes the same connectors. For a larger line, the system continues with the uninsulated coil in the next size up from the same series, joined with connectors of its size.
