Viega Multilayer Pipe 20×2.3 mm, Oxygen Barrier, Pre-Insulated, 75 m Coil, Cross-Linked Polyethylene (PE-X), Art. 734077

Viega multilayer pipe 20×2.3 mm (model 4705.5, Art. 734077) is the blue-insulated version in Viega’s Smartpress/Pexfit Pro pipe table, differing from the red version of the same size only in colour. It is intended for drinking-water and heating installations, and the sale unit is the metre.

The core pipe consists of a PE-Xc inliner and outer case with an aluminium layer enclosed between them. According to Viega, it is dimensionally stable and has an oxygen barrier layer. Around it sits 6 mm of blue insulation, protected on the outside by a PE cover, and Viega’s instructions set the maximum operating pressure for sanitary and heating installations at 10 bar.

It takes 20 mm Viega Smartpress or Pexfit Pro press connectors; neither the connectors nor a press tool comes with the pipe.
