STOUT Multilayer Pipe 16×2.6 mm, Oxygen Barrier, 100 m Coil, Cross-Linked Polyethylene (PE-X), Art. SPS-0001-001626

STOUT multilayer pipe 16×2.6 mm (Art. SPS-0001-001626) is a grey PE-Xc/Al/PE-Xc pipe in which an aluminium layer runs between an inner and an outer layer of cross-linked polyethylene. It comes as a 100 m coil for indoor water supply and heating pipework.

STOUT describes the pipe as five-layer. Its barrier is a butt-welded aluminium strip, 0.20 mm thick, and according to the maker it completely prevents oxygen from diffusing through the wall. With a spring bender the pipe can be bent to a minimum radius of five times its outside diameter, and the air temperature during installation must not be below 0 °C.

The passport names cold and hot water supply and heating, including radiator and underfloor circuits, as the uses of this pipe. It is joined with STOUT axial fittings with a sliding sleeve or with STOUT compression fittings.
