VIEGA Sanpress Inox Reducer 22 x 15 mm, Stainless Steel, Press Connection, Art. 436230

The 15 mm press end takes Viega system pipe of the same diameter in stainless steel, grade 1.4401 or 1.4521; no other pipe connects to the reducer. The 22 mm end is not pressed onto pipe: it goes into the 22 mm press end of a Sanpress Inox tee, elbow or coupling, which connects it to the 22 mm part of the installation.

Viega advises pressing with a Viega tool such as the Viega Pressgun. You will need Viega jaws suitable for Sanpress Inox in two sizes: 15 mm for the reducer's press end and 22 mm for the fitting that receives the plug-in end. Before pressing, mark the insertion depth on the 15 mm pipe and push the pipe in as far as the mark.

Viega names 16 bar as the nominal pressure of the Sanpress Inox system. The operating temperature is limited to 80 °C in drinking-water installations and to 105 °C in DIN EN 12828 heating systems, and these limits also apply to the 22×15 mm reducer. Viega asks to be consulted before the system is used outside the areas of application it describes.
