STOUT Axial Sleeve 16 mm, Brass, Press, Art. SFA-0020-000016

STOUT axial press sleeve 16 mm (Art. SFA-0020-000016) is the brass ring that completes a joint on a STOUT axial press fitting. It slides onto pipe of 16 mm outside diameter, is then pressed over the fitting and fixes the pipe end on it for good.

The sleeve is CW617N brass to EN 12165. The joint has no elastic sealing rings or gaskets, cannot be taken apart and may be concealed in the structure. Before the joints are cast in concrete, the pipework must pass a hydraulic pressure test.

In drinking-water and heating systems it suits STOUT PE-Xa/EVOH (SPX-0001, SPX-0002) and PE-Xa/Al/PE-RT pipe. The nominal pressure is 25 bar, yet the passport rules the fittings out above 10 bar or with fluid hotter than 95 °C.
