Viega Sanpress Inox Press Reducer 28×22 mm, Stainless Steel, Press, Art. 436278

Push the 28 mm plug-in end fully into the press socket of a 28 mm Sanpress Inox fitting, such as a tee or a coupling, and press that socket with a 28 mm jaw. The sealing element of the receiving fitting makes the joint tight. The 22 mm side is pressed onto pipe in the usual way.

Two sizes are involved: a 22 mm jaw or press ring for the reducer's own press end, and a 28 mm one for the fitting that takes the plug-in end. Both are used on a press machine with constant pressing force; Viega recommends its own system tools and a profile that matches Sanpress Inox press connectors.

Viega rates the Sanpress Inox system at PN 16, so 16 bar. In drinking-water installations the operating temperature is up to 80 °C, with 95 °C permitted for no more than 60 minutes, and heating systems may run at up to 105 °C. The same limits apply on the 28 mm and the 22 mm side alike.
