Description
The VIEGA Rotguss plug (model 3290, article 320102) is a threaded stopper with a 1/2″ male (external) thread, used to blank off an unused female-threaded port on a pipe run or fitting. It has a square drive and an outer rim, so it can be turned and seated tight with a spanner or wrench.
It’s made from Rotguss, a corrosion-resistant copper-tin-zinc casting alloy commonly marketed as gunmetal or red brass, threaded to DIN EN 10226-1. It’s approved for potable water installations under DIN 1988 and gas installations under TRGI 2008, and carries DVGW test mark DV 7401 AO 2957.
Note: this is a blanking plug, not a shut-off valve — it permanently seals a port rather than controlling flow.
