VIEGA Sanpress Inox Union Connector 15 mm x G3/4, Stainless Steel, Press x Thread, Art. 437589

Viega Sanpress Inox union connector 15 mm x G3/4 (model 2363, Art. 437589) forms a detachable joint between 15 mm stainless steel pipe and an appliance with a G3/4 male thread. This way you can take off a valve or other device for servicing while the pipe stays in place.

The union nut is brass, while the water-contacting body is stainless steel 1.4401. The pipe side has an EPDM sealing element and SC-Contur: if you accidentally leave the joint unpressed, it starts to leak when the system is filled. On the threaded side, an EPDM flat gasket provides the seal.

The connector is made for Viega 15 mm system pipe and is used in drinking-water, heating or compressed-air lines. According to the manufacturer, the pressure limit is 16 bar, and the temperature limit 80 °C in drinking water and 105 °C in heating. The connector is DVGW-approved, but Viega does not include it in its VdS certificate. No press tool comes with the connector.
