Viega Bronze Reducer 1/2" x 3/8", Male x Female Thread, Art. 266516

Viega bronze reducer 1/2″ x 3/8″ (model 3241, Art. 266516) is meant for small-bore connections. Its R 1/2 male end goes into a 1/2″ female outlet, while a 3/8″ pipe or nipple with a male thread screws into the Rp 3/8 female end.

The polygonal body is bronze, and Viega’s table gives 22 mm for both its length and its spanner size. The threads follow EN 10226-1: R is a tapered male thread, Rp a parallel female one. The male thread leaves the factory knurled, so it holds hemp well without being roughened.

The reducer is meant for drinking-water, heating and gas installations, and Art. 266516 is on the list of DVGW certificate DV-7401AO2957.
