Viega Smartpress Press Jaw 16 mm, Art. 425319

It presses connectors made for pipe with an outside diameter of 16 mm. In the model 2799.7 table, Viega marks Art. 425319 for two of its plastic piping systems, Viega Smartpress and Viega Pexfit Pro, so use the jaw on 16 mm connectors of those systems.

A press machine. Viega's Smartpress instructions require a machine with constant pressing force for each press connection, and the jaw is sold on its own. Before buying, check that your machine appears on Viega's recommendation list for this jaw, which is reproduced in the specifications.

Viega says it does not check whether its system press jaws can be used on other manufacturers' systems, and it makes no statement on whether such pressing gives permanently leakproof joints. Use this 16 mm jaw on Viega Smartpress or Pexfit Pro connectors, and for other brands follow their maker's own instructions.

Viega gives an interval of 2 years for press jaws and strongly recommends having them checked during press machine maintenance; at that point the jaws are examined for damage and dimensional accuracy. Send this 16 mm jaw along with the machine so that both go through the same service.
