Viega Press Ring 88.9 mm, Art. 562885

Viega press ring 88.9 mm (model 2497.2XL, Art. 562885) is intended for pressing XL fittings on 88.9 mm pipe in the Prestabo XL, Temponox XL, Sanpress Inox XL, Sanpress Inox G XL and copper Profipress XL systems. Viega excludes Sanpress XL in gunmetal and Megapress XL, so confirm which system your fittings belong to before you start.

The phosphatised steel ring is closed with the Z2 hinged adapter jaw (model 2296.2, Art. 472 740). That jaw is a separate article and fits PT2 press machines, from Viega’s Pressgun 5 and PT3-AH to the Geberit/Novopress and Ridgid models given in the specification. Neither the jaw nor a machine is supplied with the ring.

Viega calls for press rings to be checked every two years and recommends doing this when the press machine is serviced. It also does not check whether its rings can press other manufacturers’ systems.
