Description
Viega press ring 64 mm (model 2497.2XL, Art. 578671) is used to press XL press fittings on pipe with a 64 mm outside diameter. Viega names it for the Sanpress Inox XL, Sanpress Inox G XL, Prestabo XL, Temponox XL and copper Profipress XL systems, and a footnote to this article also lists Profipress G XL.
The ring is made of phosphatised steel and is closed with the Z2 hinged adapter jaw (model 2296.2, Art. 472 740), which is a separate article. Viega recommends this jaw for PT2 press machines, among them its own Pressgun 6 Plus, Pressgun 5 and PT3-AH and the Geberit/Novopress and Ridgid models listed in the specification. Neither the adapter jaw nor a press machine comes with the ring.
Viega classes the ring as unsuitable for Sanpress XL in gunmetal and for Megapress XL. Nor does it check whether its system press rings can be used to press other manufacturers’ systems.
