VIEGA Sanpress Inox Elbow 90°, 22 mm, Stainless Steel, Press x Plug-in End, Art. 435721

Viega Sanpress Inox press elbow 90°, 22 mm (model 2316.1, Art. 435721) has a press connection at one end and a plug-in end (spigot) at the other. The plug-in end has the outside diameter of the pipe, so it goes straight into the press socket of another Sanpress Inox fitting of the same size, with no pipe offcut in between.

The elbow is made of stainless steel 1.4401. Its single press end has an EPDM sealing element and SC-Contur, so a joint left unpressed by mistake leaks visibly when the system is filled. The plug-in end has no seal of its own: the joint is sealed by the sealing element of the fitting it goes into.

In drinking-water, heating and compressed-air lines the Sanpress Inox system is rated for 16 bar, up to 80 °C in drinking water or 105 °C in heating; the system holds DVGW approval, and VdS approval with 1.4521 pipe only. For pipe on both sides, choose the elbow with two press ends. A pressing tool is not supplied with it; the full range is listed under press fittings.
