Description
The VIEGA transition nipple (model 3246, article 441517) steps a threaded connection down from 1/2″ to 3/8″, with a male (external) thread on both ends: a cylindrical G1/2″ thread on one side, sealed against an inner cone in the mating fitting, and a tapered R3/8″ thread on the other.
It’s machined from silicon bronze, a corrosion-resistant copper alloy from the same Rotguss threaded-fitting family Viega uses across its potable water range, and is listed as compliant with German drinking water regulations (UBA).
It’s a compact way to join two differently-threaded male connections, such as a union nut fitting to a standard tapered thread.
