VIEGA Sanpress Inox Elbow 45°, 28 mm, Stainless Steel, Press x Plug-in End, Art. 435417

Viega Sanpress Inox press elbow 45°, 28 mm (model 2326.1, Art. 435417) is made for 28 mm lines in which the bend must connect directly to another fitting. Pipe is pressed into the press end, while the plug-in end (spigot), sized to the outside diameter of 28 mm pipe, goes into the press socket of that fitting.

Viega makes this elbow from stainless steel 1.4401. Its press end holds the only EPDM sealing element and features SC-Contur, so a forgotten press joint reveals itself by leaking when the pipework is filled. Nothing seals at the plug-in end itself: tightness there comes from the sealing element inside the receiving socket.

Use it in drinking-water, heating or compressed-air lines, including concealed installation. Within the Sanpress Inox system it withstands up to 16 bar; the temperature limit is 80 °C in drinking water and 105 °C in heating. The system is DVGW-approved, and VdS approval is limited to use with 1.4521 pipe. With pipe on both sides, use the same-size elbow with two press ends.
