Description
Viega Sanpress Inox press elbow 45°, 22 mm (model 2326.1, Art. 435400) turns a stainless steel line and connects straight to the next fitting. One end is a press connection for pipe; the other is a plug-in end (spigot) with the outside diameter of 22 mm pipe, which goes into the press socket of a neighbouring fitting.
The elbow body is stainless steel 1.4401; its only EPDM sealing element sits in the press end, alongside SC-Contur: if that joint is left unpressed by mistake, it shows itself by leaking when the system is filled. The plug-in end is sealed by the receiving fitting’s sealing element, and that fitting’s socket is what gets pressed.
The Sanpress Inox system is designed for up to 16 bar in drinking-water, heating and compressed-air lines, with operating temperatures up to 80 °C in drinking water and 105 °C in heating. DVGW approval covers the system; this article is also VdS-approved, but only with 1.4521 pipe. If you need pipe on both sides, use the 45° elbow with two press ends. Pipe and press tools do not come with the elbow; see other press fittings.
