Viega Sanpress Inox union connector 28 mm x G1 (model 2363, Art. 437633) connects a stainless steel line to a valve or appliance that you may need to remove later. The connector is pressed onto the pipe, while the G1 union nut screws onto a male thread and can be undone when needed.

The connector body is made of stainless steel 1.4401, the nut of brass. On the press side sits an EPDM sealing element, and SC-Contur ensures that an unpressed joint leaks during filling. The tightened nut presses the EPDM flat gasket between the connector and the end of the mating thread, sealing the joint.

In drinking-water, heating and compressed-air lines, the press end of the connector joins Viega 28 mm system pipe. The system is designed for a nominal 16 bar, up to 80 °C in drinking water and 105 °C in heating. The connector holds DVGW and VdS approvals, although VdS applies only with 1.4521 pipe.
