Description

The VIEGA adapter nipple (model 3246, article 441524) is a double-ended threaded transition piece that steps a 1/2″ thread up to a 3/4″ thread on the opposite end, letting two differently-sized threaded connections be joined directly.

It’s made from Rotguss, a corrosion-resistant copper-tin-zinc casting alloy commonly marketed as gunmetal or red brass, with a roughened thread finish and a polygonal wrench flat (Mehrkant) for tightening with a standard spanner. One end carries a cylindrical G-thread with an internal sealing cone, the other a tapered R-thread.

It’s a compact way to bridge two threaded fittings of different sizes without a separate reducer and bushing, commonly used on Viega Raxofix and Sanfix installations.
