It is standard bore: for the 1" size STOUT gives a passage diameter of 23 mm against a nominal size of DN 25, and a flow coefficient Kv of 49 m³/h. Where the full pipe bore matters, choose a full-bore SVB model instead.

STOUT rates this 1" valve at PN 32 and gives a medium temperature range of −20 to 150 °C. The working pressure actually permitted depends on the temperature of the medium, as the pressure-temperature chart in STOUT's technical passport shows, so check it before you fit the valve in a hot-water heating line.

Hot water, yes: STOUT names domestic hot water and heating among the main uses. Gas, no: the passport does not list gas supply among its uses, and its technical data give water or water-glycol solutions of up to 50% as the medium, so this valve is not meant for gas pipework.

STOUT supplies its ball valves in the open position and requires installation by qualified specialists, followed by a leak test of the joints. Turn the butterfly handle smoothly by hand, never with tools, do not use a pipe wrench on the valve, and leave it fully open or fully closed, because STOUT does not allow ball valves to regulate flow.
