Energoflex Super Protect pipe insulation 22/6 mm (Art. EFXT022062SUPRK) is sized for a pipe with a 22 mm outside diameter and has a red outer coating. Its foam wall is 6 mm thick, and each tube is 2 m long.

Under the coating is polyethylene foam. Energoflex explains that this layer allows the insulation to compensate for the thermal expansion of the pipe, and for the Super Protect series it declares a thermal conductivity of 0.038 W/(m·K) at 10 °C.

The tubes are intended for heating and water-supply lines inside floor and wall constructions. To close a joint, the installation guide calls for Energopro contact adhesive on the butt ends and reinforced self-adhesive tape of the same colour over the joint itself; both are separate products, not part of this article.
