Energoflex Super Protect pipe insulation 18/6 mm (Art. EFXT018062SUPRK) is a red-coated tube that insulates an 18 mm pipe running inside a floor or wall. Its insulating layer is 6 mm thick, and the tubes are straight lengths of 2 m.

The tube is made of polyethylene foam with a durable red polymer coating. According to Energoflex, the foam layer compensates for the thermal expansion of the pipe, and the maker declares a thermal conductivity of 0.038 W/(m·K) at 10 °C for the Super Protect series.

Energoflex developed the Super Protect series specifically for heating and water-supply pipes laid in floor and wall constructions. Following the maker’s installation guide, you glue the butt ends of neighbouring tubes with Energopro contact adhesive and then wrap the joint with reinforced self-adhesive tape of the matching colour.
