A female thread runs inside a part and a male thread around its outside. This 1/2" extension has both: the male G 1/2 end goes into a female outlet or fitting, and the female G 1/2 end accepts a tap, valve or nipple with a male thread.

Choose it when the female outlet sits so far behind the finished wall that a shorter piece would leave the tap or valve too deep. Measure from the outlet to the point where the new connection should be, and only then pick the length; this one is 50 mm, with G 1/2 threads at both ends.

Effebi sets PN10 for the TOF Link series, which means 10 bar, and gives an operating range of −20 to +130 °C. These are series values from the catalogue; the limits of whatever you connect to the 50 mm extension apply too, so the lowest rating in the line decides.
