STOUT PEX-a Pipe 20×2.8 mm, Oxygen Barrier, 100 m Coil, Cross-Linked Polyethylene (PE-X), Art. SPX-0001-002028

STOUT PEX-a pipe 20×2.8 mm (Art. SPX-0001-002028) is meant for heating and water supply lines that call for a 20 mm outside diameter. Its wall is cross-linked polyethylene PE-Xa with an EVOH oxygen barrier on the outside, and it is supplied as a grey 100 m coil.

Unlike a multilayer pipe, it has no aluminium in the wall: the barrier is a thin EVOH shell, which STOUT specifies at no less than 80 µm. The pipe complies with EN ISO 15875 and is rated for 10 bar. Installation should not be carried out below 0 °C, and the minimum bending radius is five times the outside diameter.

STOUT names heating, cooling and water supply systems as uses, including drinking water and radiator and underfloor heating. For joints, the maker specifies STOUT axial fittings with a sliding sleeve or STOUT Eurocone-type compression fittings.
