Description
Viega cap / plug 1″ (model 3291, Art. 266622) is made with a plain square head and no external rim; the version with the rim is Viega’s model 3290. Its R 1 male thread screws into a female outlet and closes a port left unused, for example on a valve body or a fitting.
The plug is brass, and the R 1 thread is a taper male thread to EN 10226-1. Viega’s R male threads come knurled from the factory, so the thread does not need roughening before hemp is wound on. It is sold per piece: buy hemp, sealing paste or PTFE thread tape separately.
According to Viega, the plug is meant for drinking-water, heating and gas systems.
