Description
STOUT safety relief valve 1/2″ x 3/4″ (Art. SVS-0030-006015) is a diaphragm valve that protects pipework and vessels against exceeding their maximum permissible working pressure. Its set pressure is fixed at 6 bar, and the protective cap is pressed in so that the setting cannot be changed.
The body and the inlet and outlet branches are brass CW 617N, the spool is glass-fibre reinforced polyamide, the membrane is EPDM and the turn cap is blue polyamide. Both ends have female threads, 1/2″ on the inlet and 3/4″ on the outlet. The valve starts to open at no more than 10 % above the set pressure and closes again at 20 % below it; the valve is rated PN 10, for water at up to 115 °C.
The valve is designed for water supply systems, and STOUT’s passport also shows it on the flow pipe of a heating boiler. Route the discharge through a hose no longer than 2 m with no more than two bends, and check that the valve works after installation and then at least once a year. Other options are in our choice of safety and relief valves.
