STOUT Edge Insulation Strip 25 m, Polyethylene Foam, Art. SMF-0002-100825

STOUT edge insulation strip 25 m (Art. SMF-0002-100825) is a damper tape laid along the walls of a room with water underfloor heating. It absorbs the thermal expansion of the heated floor’s concrete screed and shields the building’s walls from vibrations coming from the floor.

The strip is made of foamed polyethylene and comes as a roll 100 mm wide, 8 mm thick and 25 m long, weighing 0.6 kg. Its outer side has an adhesive layer under a protective film that keeps it from drying out. A polyethylene film glued to the inner side projects beyond the strip’s edge and seals the corner.

STOUT lists it among its water underfloor heating components for houses and apartments. Since it runs along every wall bordering the heated floor, compare the 25 m roll with the room’s perimeter before ordering; if the perimeter is longer, work out from it how many rolls you need.
