Viega Sanpress Inox Press Reducing Tee 42x22x42 mm, Stainless Steel, Press, Art. 436032

The two run ends need 42 mm Viega stainless steel system pipe and the branch needs 22 mm pipe; in both cases the grade must be 1.4401 or 1.4521. Where a VdS-approved installation is required, for example a sprinkler system, use Sanpress 1.4521 pipe.

Viega gives the Sanpress Inox system a nominal pressure of PN 16. Drinking water can be carried at up to 80 °C, with 95 °C acceptable for no longer than 60 minutes, and heating water at up to 105 °C. These values also cover the 42x22x42 mm tee.

Viega asks for a square cut made with a pipe cutter or a fine-toothed hacksaw, with no angle grinder and no cutting oil, followed by deburring inside and outside. Push each pipe into the tee as far as it will go, and mark and check the insertion depth before you press the 42 mm and 22 mm joints.
