Effebi Collettore A Ball Valve with Union 1/2", T-Handle, Brass, Female x Male Thread, Art. 2047N404

Full bore. Effebi bases the Collettore A on its Aster series and gives its bore as full, so when the 1/2" valve (DN 15) is open the ball does not narrow the passage. The anti-blow-out stem and the virgin PTFE seats also come from the Aster design.

Effebi gives 40 bar (PN 40) as the pressure limit for fluids and a temperature range of −15 to 110 °C. These figures come from the Collettore A data sheet and apply to this 1/2" valve with union, Art. 2047N404.

On one side the 1/2" valve has a G 1/2 female thread; on the other, a male-threaded brass tail is held to the body by a union nut and sealed with a metallic seal and an O-ring. Loosening the nut separates the valve from the tail, so the valve can be removed for service without unscrewing the tail.

For the hot water of a heating system, yes: Effebi recommends it for heating manifold sets and allows fluids up to 110 °C. On drinking water, the maker states that the internal surfaces are nickel-free and comply with forthcoming European drinking-water regulations, and our specification lists both heating and drinking water as applications.
