Description
STOUT full-bore ball valve with union 1/2″ (Art. SVB-0007-000015) pairs a G 1/2 female thread on the body with a G 1/2 male tail held on by a union nut. Undoing the nut parts the valve from the pipe or appliance on the male side, so it can be taken out later without cutting the pipe.
The body is nickel-plated CW617N brass, the ball seal is PTFE and the stem seals are made of FKM and PTFE. For this DN 15 size STOUT gives a maximum working pressure of 50 bar, a medium temperature from −20 to +150 °C and, for the ball seal, tightness class A under DIN EN 12266-1. Both ends have parallel G threads to ISO 228-1.
The passport places SVB valves on pipelines of drinking, household and industrial systems and names hot water supply and heating among their main applications; the medium may be water or a water-glycol mixture containing no more than 50% glycol.
