Description
STOUT ball valve with union 3/4″ (Art. SVB-0007-000020) is a shut-off valve for DN 20 pipework whose two ends are built differently. The G 3/4 female thread is cut into the valve body, while the G 3/4 male tail is attached to the body by a union nut, so the joint on the male side can be opened simply by loosening that nut.
STOUT assigns the SVB-0007 series to its full-bore ball valves. The body is nickel-plated CW617N brass, the ball sits against a PTFE seal, and FKM and PTFE seals keep the stem tight. Both ends carry parallel G threads to ISO 228-1, and the passport states that the brass meets DIN 50930-6 for drinking water.
The passport names hot water supply and heating among the main applications of SVB valves, with water or water containing up to 50% glycol as the medium. For this DN 20 article STOUT lists a maximum working pressure of 50 bar and a medium temperature range of −20 to +150 °C. In our listing of brass ball valves for heating and water lines you will find other sizes and end layouts, should your connection need something other than this 3/4″ female x male valve.
