Description
STOUT ball valve with union 3/4″ (Art. SVB-0009-000020) is a standard-bore DN 20 shut-off valve: the body has an Rp 3/4 female thread, while the other end carries a union nut in place of a fixed thread, with a G 3/4 female thread and a flat gasket. STOUT intends this type of nut for connecting boilers and other equipment at their matching threaded stubs.
Its body is nickel-plated brass to CW617N, and the chrome-plated brass ball sits in PTFE seats; the O-rings are FKM and the valve is operated by a butterfly handle. STOUT states that the brass meets DIN 50930-6 for drinking water. The passport gives PN 30 (30 bar) as the nominal pressure and −20 to 150 °C as the medium temperature range, and rates the ball shut-off at tightness class A to DIN EN 12266-1.
It is intended for drinking-water and heating pipework, with water or a water-glycol solution of up to 50% as the medium. STOUT’s passport does not permit the valve to be used for regulating flow: open and close it by hand, without tools, and never put a pipe wrench on it. Our selection of ball valves has other sizes, should this 3/4″ valve with union not suit your line.
