VIEGA Sanpress Inox Elbow 45°, 28 mm, Stainless Steel, Press Connection, Art. 435806

Viega Sanpress Inox press elbow 45°, 28 mm (model 2326, Art. 435806) connects two 28 mm stainless steel pipes and turns the run through 45°. It has a press connection on both sides, so the two pipe lengths are pressed directly into it.

Both press ends hold a factory-fitted black EPDM sealing element, which a cylindrical pipe guide protects as the pipe is inserted; the body is stainless steel 1.4401. With SC-Contur, a connection that was never pressed is not tight: it leaks visibly when the line is filled.

According to Viega, in a drinking-water, heating or compressed-air line the elbow withstands up to 16 bar, with up to 80 °C in drinking water and up to 105 °C in heating. DVGW approval covers the system, and Viega’s VdS certificate, valid only with 1.4521 pipe, also lists this article. Where one side must plug straight into another fitting, the alternative is the same-size elbow with a plug-in end. Only the elbow is supplied, without press tool or jaw; other fittings are under press fittings.
