The middle figure is the branch size: the main passes through two 42 mm ends, and the branch pipe is pressed into the 22 mm end.<\/p>\n<p>The tee is stainless steel 1.4401, and each press end carries an EPDM sealing element and SC-Contur, so a joint left unpressed leaks during testing. This size holds DVGW and VdS approval, the VdS approval applying with 1.4521 pipe.<\/p>\n<p>Install it on Viega 1.4401 or 1.4521 system pipe in a drinking-water, heating or compressed-air line; pressure must stay within 16 bar and temperature within 80 \u00b0C for drinking water or 105 \u00b0C for heating.
