One end has a G 1\/2 female thread to UNI ISO 228\/1, and the other a male-threaded tail joined to the body by a union nut, so the joint can later be undone by loosening the nut.<\/p>\n<p>The body, tail and nut are CW617N brass. Effebi bases the valve on its Aster series, so it has a full bore, an anti-blow-out stem and virgin PTFE seats; the stem O-ring is HNBR and the further seals are EPDM. The union seals with a metallic seal plus an O-ring, and a black aluminium T-handle turns the ball.<\/p>\n<p>Effebi states that the valve&#8217;s internal surfaces are nickel-free and comply with forthcoming European drinking-water regulations. It is rated for 40 bar (PN 40), and the fluid temperature may be between \u221215 and 110 \u00b0C.
