The press end is O-ring-free and has SC-Contur: if a joint is missed during pressing, it leaks visibly when the system is filled with water.

The unit is made for Viega’s 16 mm pipes from the Smartpress, Pexfit Pro and Pexfit Fosta systems. For drinking-water and heating installations Viega gives Smartpress a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar and temperature limits of 70 °C in drinking water and 80 °C in heating.
