Description

The VIEGA Smartpress mounting unit (model 6741, article 730628) is a wall-fixed mounting bracket with a 16 mm press connection and a 1/2″ internal thread, built with acoustic decoupling to reduce noise transmission from the pipe run into the building structure.

It’s made from galvanized steel and is adjustable to variable installation depths, letting it accommodate different wall build-ups while keeping the fixture connection point correctly positioned. It carries SC-Contur on the press side, so an unpressed connection shows up as a visible leak once the system is filled for testing.

It’s used to anchor a threaded fixture connection to the wall structure while limiting the transmission of flow noise and vibration through the pipework.
